Teaching Young Voices

Two-day course with Dr Jenevora Williams

22/23 February 2025 - Guildford / Zoom

Come and join me for two days in my home in Guildford. We will be immersing ourselves in new ideas and ways of thinking for working with children and adolescents. This opportunity is only available for a small number of people.

Course cost:
£280 for two days including lunch (Guildford)
£250 via Zoom

As a singing teacher of many years, working with young voices, I found Jenevora’s 2 day Teaching Young Voices course most enjoyable, entertaining, and educational. It was a moment to immerse myself in the subject I love with such a knowledgeable voice practitioner and other like minded teachers from different backgrounds, who were teaching different styles and different types of students from me.

Jenevora’s course is so clearly presented throughout that it was easy to focus and remember the material. She had a great recording library of young voices at different developmental stages which was so interesting to hear as part of understanding ranges and abilities of these stages. There were new ideas and techniques to learn and discuss which made for a fascinating two days. The experience has left me feeling refreshed, validated and enthused with new ideas.

I loved every moment of the Teaching young voices course with Jenevora. Her in-depth knowledge of the voice and years of experience as both a performer and teacher, mixed with her wonderfully kind, considerate manner, ensured I came away feeling more confident and with a greater understanding of where I can continue to improve on myself as a teacher.  I love her positive growth mindset, person centered approach, and am fascinated by all her scientific voice research.  I would highly recommend this, or any, of her courses.  I’m very grateful to have found such a caring, brilliant teacher and aspire to follow in her footsteps by continuously learning, questioning and listening to, and with, my students.  Thank you so much Jenevora!

This course will give you a firm foundation in the development of children’s voices, what they are capable of at each stage and the issues encountered during puberty.

If you are a singing teacher, a choral director, a classroom music teacher or a Musical Theatre MD – this is what you need to know. The content is based on research evidence and a lifetime of experience in the field; it is not a teaching method, you will be given the tools to devise your own teaching strategies.
